RECOGNITION OF CREDITS FOR ELECTIVE ACTIVITIES
Students can customize their study plan by including elective courses of particular interest, such as seminars, monographic courses, participation in conferences and congresses, clinical and research internships in Italy and abroad, clinical internships, and other initiatives promoted and recognized by the University, provided they are aligned with the educational objectives of the degree program, for a total of 8 credits.
The certificate of participation for individual initiatives, issued by the organizers of the initiative, must be retained until the request for credit recognition is made and submitted with the request.
The request for credit recognition for elective activities must be submitted using the form available on the Course website at this link https://medicine-and-surgery.cdl.unime.it/en/node/157
once the student has either participated in at least 8 different initiatives or has attended a number of events/initiatives for which at least 2 CFU (as a sum of credits for each event) can be recognised.
This is mandatory to decrease the workload for the Course didactic secretary and the Students Secretary.
If participating in more than 8 initiatives, the student may use multiple forms and submit them simultaneously.
Once completed, the request form has to be sent to the institutional address master.medicinesurgery@unime.it.
The requests of credits recognition for elective activities have to be sent to master.medicinesurgery@unime.it in the time period between day 15 and the end of every month. Sending a request in different time periods will imply a delay in the request evaluation.
The annual deadline for submitting requests for recognition is the month of June. Applications received after or before this period will not be considered, unless credit recognition is necessary for participation in competitive international mobility calls or for the awarding of scholarships.
REQUEST REJECTED - Any request of credits recognition for elective activities that is made · without using the request form (available on the Course website at the link https://medicine-and-surgery.cdl.unime.it/en/node/157)
· without the relevant certificate of attendance to the listed events (remember asking the event organizers to give you the certificates, and save them in a safe place until the moment you'll use them to accompany the request)
· claiming the recognition of credits for less than 2 CFU
· using either the e-mail address protocollo@unime.it or that of the Course Coordinator instead of the didactic secretary address master.medicinesurgery@unime.it
WON'T BE ACCEPTED.
REMINDER - The attendance to Italian language course on Rosetta Stone ("Foundations" program, which aligns with the A1 and A2 levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), and "Fluency Builder" program for getting B1 level) is useful for getting 6 CFU (75 hours of attendance for each program= 3 CFU).
The credits for attendance to Italian language course, and also for other language courses attended on Rosetta stone, are automatically uploaded on your Esse3 profile without any request from your side.
